Dream & Believe
Ten songs, seven of them Steven's own, including I'm the Music Man, a co-write with David G. Smith. Would He Believe was written in 2002 after the 25th Candlelight Vigil, when Steven returned to his motel room. In 2012, at the 35th Elvis Week, he wrote it on the Wall at Graceland. It is the single for Elvis Week 2027. We contacted Terry Blackwood of the Imperials, he agreed and organized the Imperials vocals, which both he and Joe Moscheo, along with newer Imperial members sang on all 10 Dream & Believe songs. Terry Blackwood organized the studio, including several band members who had played with Elvis. Recorded at FunHouse Studio in Nashville, the album was in the can, cut and mastered, within four days, which was rare, unheard of. They were magic tracks: no editing and no redos. Elvis was booked to cut this Dennis Linde song in January 1977 for Moody Blue and missed the session. Steven put it on the debut to keep that line of the songbook alive.
